Meet Dr. David

Dr. David Ajibade is the founder and medical director of Brain and Body Solutions, Ltd., an integrated health center in Abuja, Nigeria, and the Executive Director of Brain and Body Foundation LLC, a non-profit organization established in Nigeria and the U.S. Over the years, he has actively advocated for the use of nutrients and nutraceuticals as adjuvants in the treatment of brain disorders, especially for conditions that do not have a satisfactory, clear-cut treatment. Such disorders include but are not limited to diseases like cerebral palsy, epilepsy, dementia, and other cognitive impairments to name a few.

Since 2013, he has treated thousands of patients who have seen remarkable improvements in their mental, neurological, and physical health through the use of various supplements. It is through this treatment practice that he continues to see promising results in a yearlong Nigerian study researching the use of Vitamin D3 in the treatment of sickle cell disease. Early results indicate it is highly likely that the results from this study will forever change the way sickle cell disease is treated in Nigeria, and around the world.

Prior to his work with Brain and Body, Dr. Ajibade has worked for several hospitals and organizations, including the United Nations Foundation (UNF). As a consultant to the UNF, Dr. Ajibade played a key role in the drafting of Nigeria’s first comprehensive eHealth strategy. This was a collaborative effort between the Federal Ministries of Health and Communication Technology, and major telecommunications companies throughout Nigeria. Dr. David Ajibade excels at translating complex neuroscience concepts into everyday language. His books, talks, and social media posts are relatable and actionable. By demystifying brain health, he empowers people to take charge of their mental well-being. His approachability fosters trust and engagement.

Dr. David emphasizes a holistic view of brain health. He considers lifestyle factors such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management (all encapsulated in what he terms “The Laws of Life,”) essential to the promotion and maintenance of a healthy brain. This comprehensive approach resonates with individuals seeking practical strategies beyond medication. It aligns with the growing interest in integrative medicine.

In 1997, Dr. Ajibade received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan, in Ibadan, Nigeria. After working in the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department at the National Hospital Abuja for two years, he moved to the United States to pursue a more complete understanding of health, medicine and human life. During his time in America, Dr. Ajibade has acquired certifications in several fields of study, including the treatment of brain disorders, the addressing of inflammation as it pertains to overall health and wellness, and naturopathic medicine. He has devoted the last 20 years of his life to studying how the human mind and body work, with a focus on understanding how to optimize both their longevity, and performance.
He has also had a keen interest in identifying and studying some of the best researched and most critically acclaimed discoveries in medical science, especially in the fields of brain function, immune and endocrine health, and cancer. During this time, and to this day, he continues to collaborate with an array of experts in the fields of immune function, brain disorders and cardiovascular disease, while carrying on his work with organizations that focus on best practices to educate the general public and healthcare professionals.
